Beach babes

Today was pretty close to perfect.  The weather was amazing.  The kids were great.   Noah napped well.  Connor was happy as a clam.  If the kids are content, I'm content.

I forgot my good camera at home, so we snapped a few with our water camera before the battery died.

Papa and the boys finding shells.
Sidenote: I love me a baby boy in long swim trunks.  There's something ridiculously adorable about his tiny feet sticking out of the bottom of his suit.

A sweet moment between a few of my favorites guys.  This was taken about 2.2 seconds before Noah ate some sand.  Bleh.

My plan-- let's walk, so Connor can gather shells/critters while Noah catches his nap in the stroller.  Noah was too busy waving to all the seagulls to snooze.  Smiley little Booger.

A rare photo of Matt & I.  Its not often we have someone to take our photo and arms free of children.

This beach boy was cute as can be just walking around with his tube around his waist collecting shells.  They may have been holey, far from pretty shells, but he was thrilled to collect them!

The big boys went wave jumping while Noah napped on me.  It wasn't long after that the boys were ready for lunch and oodles of snacks.  Connor could snack all.day.long.

Before we loaded up, Nana & her best bud ventured out with their tubes to do some serious wave jumping on this windy day.

Connor loves his Nana like no other.

On our way out, we took a little pit stop for ice cream.  Noah dove into his big brother's ice cream and he finally realized what he'd been missing out on all this time.

(Please excuse my clothing-less post beach baby)

As much as Noah enjoys his little taste of ice cream, I have a feeling he's going to thoroughly enjoy his birthday cake in a few weeks!

The longest days ever...

This easy going kid has become a little less easy going lately.  He's a tornado--destroying everything in his path.  As much as it pains me to see him make a mess of everything, its worth him being content.

This little booger has been extra whiney this week.  He had a snotty nose (which he screams bloody murder every time you wipe it) and was bulked up (didn't poop for 2 1/2 days), so he was a giant hot mess of crabbiness.

This photo was taken prior to all that!
Check out those toofers (4 up top, 2 on bottom)

His baby bird fuzz hair is growing in again, so he should be due for another haircut soon.  Matt wants me to take him to a barber.  I've never had to have my children sit still for a haircut in public since I've always done it, so that should be an adventure!

The countdown is officially on until Noah turns one at the end of this month.  While he was 10 months, I was so ready to pull my hair out.  From the trip to urgent care for the lacerated frenulum, hand-foot-mouth virus a few days after that, four teeth sprouting at once, snotty nose, and getting into every single cabinet (single-handedly yanking child safety locks off the knobs)... I am hoping 11 months is our month for a turn-around!

After a week of a super loose tooth, we finally pulled it out last night!  I was trying to hard to get C to pull his tooth out before he went back to school this morning, because I feared he'd lose it at school.  He's squeemish with blood/bodily fluids, so I wanted to be there to explain things to him if his tooth came out & he saw this bloody hole in his mouth.  I tried to get him to wiggle it non stop yesterday.  Then while he was in the bath, I convinced him to put some of Noah's orajel on his gums to numb the area first.  I tried to help him get it out then & he chickened out by the slight pain.  So then finally (can you tell I'm determined?!), we were lying on the couch before bedtime, I kept wiggling it for him, and quickly snuck my nail under the tooth root & made a swift tug!  Connor squealed "Ow," then when he felt his tooth out, he cheered with excitement!

C woke to $3 from the Tooth Fairy!  He was thrilled!

Why are my children growing so fast?  Kindergarten.  Taking first steps.  Lost tooth.  Almost a year old.
Lots of changes going on.  Oh, my heart! :)
