Nana & Papa fun!

Papa brought the boat home this past week, so we were aiming to take Connor out (and hopefully getting use out of his lifejacket that he's about to outgrow the weight limit for!). We were hoping to go out Saturday night, but it was later in the day & didn't quite work out. Our change of plans certainly didn't affect Connor though. I had one happy child on my hands, as he got to toss a good 60 rocks into Nana & Papa's canal! Once he gets started, its nearly impossible to get him to do anything else! Pretty sure our next trip to the home improvement store, Connor & I will be purchasing Nana & Papa a few more bags of rocks for their planters! Although we didn't make it out on the water, we had a great time rock throwing, playing in the boat in the front yard, taking a good walk, grilling out, splashing in the pool, and scarfing some supper with the fam!
I managed to get Connor to take a 2 second break from his rock throwing to capture a picture of him & his favorite Papa!
Pretending to go for a ride!
"I'll take these..."
Muah!

Trying out the new swimmies...they weren't the best at keeping Connor afloat, but they gave me a little more piece of mind when he wore them while playing on the dock. He has absolutely NO fear of the water, so we have to keep hold of Connor at all times near the canal! Thank goodness for the pool fence too!

Playdate with one little cutie pie!

Saturday was a big day! My handsome little man had the opportunity to meet one precious little girl, Miss Peyton, for a fun filled trip to Lakes Park! Unfortunately, Mommy had to work that day so I wasn't able to go :(. From the reports of Connor's Auntie Nicole & Nana, Connor & Peyton had a great time together. Peyton is a little younger than Connor, but her interests are right up Connor's alley! They both love play in the water & playing in the rocks! A match made in Heaven, if you ask me! She is, however, a gator fan...so that may be a deal breaker for the two of them ever getting together when they're older! :) Enjoy some photos, courtesy of Nana, from their big day together~
**Prior to the kiddie park adventure, Connor decided to take a head first dive into Mommy's new coffee table. This child is seriously going to give me a heart attack one day!**

How adorable is this picture?!?! These girls are so sweet!

"I kinda like you, kid!" :)

Strike a pose!

Kids and Pups...nothing cuter!!

NO...I have not lost my mind & purchased another dog! My buddy just got a new pup, Dallas, & he was visiting us yesterday! As a parent, you have to keep a close eye on your child to make sure he's safe & doesn't get hurt by a pet. Well... I spent my afternoon making sure this pup didn't get hurt by my child! Connor loved him so much that he just wanted to squeeze him, crawl all over him, and kiss him with his mouth wide open!

"Run for your life!"

They were trying to re-enact the Coppertone ads...

One cute little pup! We enjoy his company, but are glad he isn't added to the already-chaos of our home!

Toddler Modeling Take 1!

Ever try photographing a wiggle worm?! My wiggle worm is that, exactly....he NEVER stops moving! Those days of him sitting upright, looking into the camera, grinning away when I said "Cheese" are LONG gone! Connor looked so stinkin cute in his outfit today, so I attempted a toddler photo shoot. It was basically just me getting lucky, but I got quite a few cute ones of the little guy! :)

Warm weather + Water = Pure Toddler Bliss

A little drool in the hair won't kill me, right?!

The swingset was worth every penny!

Can we say TROUBLE??!!

So....last night I was cleaning up the dishes after dinner while Connor went about his usual running around the kitchen happy-as-a-clam after filling his belly with food! Didn't think anything of it! Well...Mr. Sneaky, himself, decided to pull the pasta noodle box out of the pantry, flip it over, and sprinkle all 1000 noodles on the floor!

Connor then proceeded to step all over them breaking them into another 1000 bits and pieces. He, then, got a kick out of Cooper trotting in to get his mouth on some free food. I tried to hold my laughter in for a firm "No, sir. This is not okay with Mommy" discipline to Connor, followed by a photo shoot for memories to laugh at in the future! Funny little boy.

THEN, there was lunch today. After I removed Connor's tray that was covered in milk (because Connor enjoys flipping his sippy cup over & watching it make puddles on the tray & floor during meal times)....and looked over from the kitchen sink to find this:

After a slight heart attack, we practiced the "sit" command! Connor loves to do certain "no-no's" then watch my reaction. Little stinker...

A very special day...

She answers to the name of Melva, Mom, Grandma, G.G. & Melveeta~

She could beat you at a dancing contest~

And still can do the splits~

She gives the best hugs & has a heart that's made of gold~

You would never guess that she's.....82 years old!

We love you and hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Hoppy Easter!!

Mr. Connor made out like a bandit for Easter this year! His goodies consisted of OODLES of outfits, swimsuits, bibs, snacks, bath toys & the best gift of all....a swingset!! Papa gets big points for putting it together this past weekend! Seriously, whoever writes the instructions for swingsets, must not be very intelligent! We did a lot of putting together, then taking apart, then putting together another way, and so on! Once Connor's baby swing was hooked up, we were in business! Since then, Connor LIVES in the swing! The child that fights naps, who never falls asleep in his stroller, who never stops moving....fell asleep in his swing twice yesterday!!! He looks so comfortable & will clinch to the swing when you are ready to take him out. Papa won even bigger points when he stopped by our house late last night to rig an umbrella above the swingset, so Connor will be in the shade when he swings now! What a great Papa!! :)
We had a wonderful day with family & one of the highlights of my day was watching Connor & Uncle Craig play peekaboo. Connor was cracking up! Yummy food, wonderful family & one happy little boy made for a memorable Easter! *And yes, the 'big kids' still had an Easter egg to find in Mom & Dad's house!* We're never too old for holiday festivities in Mom's eyes! Big thanks to Mom for a fabulous supper & all the goodies for Connor, big thanks to Papa for the swingset assembly, big thanks to Uncle Craig & Auntie Nicole for Connor's Easter gifts, and big thanks to Connor for being a happy little boy!
