A day at the fountains!

It was 3 under the age of 3 at the fountains today!

The three little ducks waddling to the car

They were admiring a loud truck in the parking lot while we loaded up the cars.  They're so stinking cute together.

Soccer 2016!

This child can dominate in any sport.  Basketball, football, and now, soccer.  He has really come out of his shell & has become so competitive.  He follows sports scores on ESPN like a grown man.  He keeps track of his soccer team's record and the record of the teams he playing against.

He even found himself comfortable as goalie.  This was all until last night.

I opt to take the kids' pictures for school and sports instead of ordering the cheesy packages they offer.  Since individual player pictures for soccer are this weekend, I took Connor out last night in his uniform to get a few 'professional shots.'  We brought along his buddy, Michael, and Matt & I played them in a soccer game post pictures.  All was going well until about 5 minutes before we were getting ready to head home.  Michael went in to score & Connor (goalie) came out to block his shot.  Connor dove on the ball like a champ, but unfortunately, Michael slammed his kick right into Connor's right hand.  Tears instantly.  It was hard to tell if it was a serious injury or just a finger jam at first.  As we backed up to go, Connor couldn't move his 3 fingers and his middle finger started to swell.  I kept my calm manner and have-no-fear-face on, but started to worry that he broke his finger.  After phone calls to family members, Googling finger jams, calling local Urgent Care centers, icing his hand, and wiping away tears, we opted to wait until morning to figure out if an x-ray was needed.

When my sweet boy woke this morning, he could move 2 out of 3 of the injured fingers.  The swelling had gone down a bit, so I made the executive decision to tape his fingers & sent him to school.  He was excited to show off his soccer injury to his classmates and like the fact he won't be able to write in class for a few days until his fingers heal.  Hoping it continues to feel better after he gets home from school, so we can avoid medical treatment!

Seriously, how cute is he?!
(These photos were pre-finger injury obviously)

Goose egg.

Matt was in California all week for work.  This Mama was due for a get away.  My kids were wieners, but we embraced it for an evening out with Nana & Papa.  The boys caught a big, fat goose egg, but the weather was beautiful & the snacks were plentiful!

This child's primary diet is gummies.  All day. Every day.

Scoping out the pelicans AKA trying to keep Noah from launching off the side of the dock.

Wishin' for a fish.

When fishing is slow, grab a snack (or sandwich).  Food helps everything.

It was dark, but we snagged a group shot to show off our catches (0) before heading off to get ice cream.

Goob.

I finished my last session for the next week, so I told myself it was a good day to pull my camera out to capture my own kids!

This is Noah's life at almost 2 and a half years old.
ABCs in any form still thrills him.

I had my boys in coordinating outfits, so thought I'd sneak in a cute photo of my boys in our red wagon in the center of the road as the sun was going down.  Noah decided to be a weiner-whiner, so I just aborted the plan.

We have some sweet neighbor girls that are always out playing when we are & they were happy to model for me!  Noah watched them & decided, "Noah pit-cher."  He sat himself right where I had the girls & made sure to position his hands in his lap just like they had theirs.  He smiled without any effort.  I was shocked.

At this point, I had already aborted our brother photo since Noah wasn't having it, so Connor was off deep in a neighborhood boy game of basketball.  I didn't have the heart to pull him away for a photo with his now-cooperative brother.  Figures!

I had a sweet view of his to-die-for lashes though.

Now that I know Noah will pose for me, if needed, I will try the brother photo again soon!  Soccer photos to come too!  Connor's first game was a success! (Praise the Lord!)

Oh hey there!

I feel like my entire life is taking photos.  Whipping out my phone to catch my kids in all their cuteness.  Doing about 3 sessions a week.  Its definitely nothing to complain about, but I find myself slacking on transferring all the photos of my boys onto my computer/blog.  My goal is to get more prints made & get some metal prints made for my living room wall (its been an ongoing goal for a good 4 months...)!

Here are a bunch of phone photos I've managed to accumulate over the past few weeks.

Connor's neighbor buddy, David, had the neatest birthday party recently.  It was a night party complete with a ticket booth, candy concession stand, popcorn bags, and projection movie on the lawn.  The weather was beautiful & the kids had a blast!
Uncle Justin & Austin came by to do some fishing in the backyard.
 Noah got a little crazier!

We began potty training! Noah will do anything for an M&M or Skittle!  He is what I like to call 'naked trained.'  He is accident free if he had no clothes on.  It's basically like being under house arrest though!  Noah frolics around in the buff while we're home, but then we can't go anywhere.  After going crazy being stuck inside all day, I put some underwear on the Monster and let him do chalk in the road.  Nothing says classy like Charlie Brown briefs and Sesame Street Crocs.  The neighbors got a good chuckle.

(Side note- Noah's writing his letters like a pro these days.)

Our weekly visit to Nana & Papa's had a fun change of routine when we found a petting zoo set up right down the street.  Connor rode a camel.  Noah rode a donkey.  We giggled feeding the hungry goats.  Noah's still talking about how fun it was "eating the goats!"

We introduced Noah to Playdoh & it's all he wants to do now!  We must make letters, of course!  He gets SO giddy when you make each letter and hand it to him. We have to convince him to put it all away before it becomes a dried out mess.  Funny, weird kid.

It has been a very busy new year for my 'job' and did my first (and probably my last wedding)!  Let's just say working with little ones is a little more up my alley. :)

Connor's first soccer game is this Saturday.  It's our first time playing since the hot mess that it was when he was 4.  So far, practice has been amazing!  Connor loves it and is so proud of himself!  I have bruises up and down my legs from playing goalie for him, so he can practice at home.  Curious to see how his first game goes!  Pictures to come, I'm sure!
