Random chaos...

My list of things needing to get done are getting longer & longer these days. Meanwhile, my motivation to complete any of them is getting smaller & smaller! I have been very busy with work, juggling quality Mommy time with a toddler that is having the hardest time communicating (which results in whining/tantrums often), juggling my social life, juggling my family time, maintaining a decent house, trying to give my dog the attention he craves, trying to squeeze in time to sleep & eat, and so on and so on. I feel myself getting spread too thin at times, but refuse to give up on trying my best in all areas! One of the things on my list to do is to get my camera fixed. God Bless Matt for letting me use his camera, so I can still keep up with my obsession of photography. I just picked up pictures yesterday from Walgreens & the cashier pulled out 3 giant cartons of photos under my name & chuckled before saying "You must be a new mom!" Yes...yes...that would be me!! Here are just a few photos from life's happenings lately...in no particular order!

Usually between the hours of 5pm-8pm, we spend a lot of time in the backyard. Mommy's mission--to wear out Connor & Cooper for bedtime! I usually multi-task by pushing the swing & launching a dog toy across the yard at the same time quite often!

Matt & I went to a beautiful wedding on Ft Myers Beach recently. We had a great time hanging out with old/new friends & we managed to catch the bouquet & garter too!

The beautiful couple & bridal party!

Connor ADORES his Papa! It is pretty much expected to have Connor enter Nana & Papa's house, Connor grab Papa's hand & direct him to the patio for pool time! These two are a pair!

Mommy's been waiting for Connor to discover this.... First it was the toilet paper roll, then he learned how to turn on the knobs in the tub, and now...the lovely toilet! Here he is checking out the toilet at Nana & Papa's! He has yet to find the knob to flush the potty, but I'm sure that will come soon enough!

The perfect man...

Connor is on the path to being the perfect man in his Mommy's eyes. Here a just a few examples to prove my point~

Exhibit A: A man that helps with the dog.

Exhibit B: A man that loves to clean.

Exhibit C: A man that makes a good cook.

We still have a ways to go, but Connor is certainly on the right track to make one lucky lady happy some day! :)

In good company...

Connor has made quite a few new friends lately. Mommy & Connor have been enjoying the new company very much! On Saturday, we got to join in on little Austin's preschool graduation festivities. Made me wonder just how much I am going to sob when my baby reaches that point...and I'm pretty sure it will be here before I'm quite ready for it! Enjoy some of the photos from our fun day!

The king & queen of the table~ Connor (almost 18 mos) & Kaylee (16 mos)

My goofy smirf...who chose to go on 'highchair strike' shortly into our lunch

"Whhhhhhoa!"

One little kid & one big kid enjoying pool time!

What I like to refer to as feeding the seagulls

The two little ones being a bit mischevious. **Side note: God bless anyone that has twins! I don't know how you do it!!**

Sweet Austin showing Connor a picture he drew for him....about the same time Connor decided to throw a tantrum for not being allowed to go play outside in his jammies.

We had such a great time & hope to do it again soon!

A very blessed Mother...

There is no greater gift...

....than the gift of being a Mother!

Happy Mother's day to all the current & future moms out there! Not only do we give our children the gift of life, but we teach them how to live as well! :)

Katie's Graduation!!!

This past weekend was a big one! My little sister proved that she is not so little anymore :(. Our family headed up to Tallahassee to celebrate Katie's college graduation! It was a very large endeavor with a toddler, but all-in-all, we were pretty successful! Since I have way too many photos & not enough time, I'm gonna skip the summary of our trip & try to do it through photo captions....

Connor saying goodbye to his Coopy the night before our trip. Coop was probably thrilled to have his own vacation away from Connor!

We were on the road, stopped for lunch at McD's, then caught a nap...

After a much too short nap, we pulled out Connor's "Dora" dvd to help pass the time!

Stop #2 to let the monster run free.

We took shifts playing/chasing/entertaining Connor while we took potty breaks!

(Connor is very big on holding hands these days...which I love)

After more driving, we made stop #3 at Mcd's for ice cream! Connor made a new discovery at this stop--he realized he could climb all the way to the top of the big kid's playground. Since Mommy was in a dress, Nana got the honors of going to retrieve him! Bless you Nana!

Once we got into Tallahassee, we unloaded & headed to Sonny's for some yummy supper! Connor was having a hard time keeping up with Auntie Katie's long legs as they walked into the restaurant.

Eating out with Connor these days is rather pointless, if you're going to socialize & relax. Connor had devoured his food before our food arrived, so we took shifts playing with Connor outside while the others ate their dinner! Are there really children that sit still & remain quiet in restaurants??!!

Connor getting an airplane ride from his Auntie. This was about the time Auntie Katie realized Connor had a nice, stinky present for her in his britches!

Bedtime wasn't until about 11:30pm that night, but he slept great/all night! Mom was very pleased!

Pinning ceremony!! Doesn't she look like graduate barbie?

Aunt Holly did the honors of pinning Katie. Very cool moment!

Katie's study buddy--two very intelligent blondes!

Dinner afterwards at the "Mellow Mushroom"

Connor & Auntie Katie having a heart-to-heart

Graduation day!

Mommy & Connor weren't able to attend graduation (as I'm sure you can imagine why--a 5 hour ceremony--NOT gonna happen with Connor). We opted to get some energy out at the McD's playground...and then Chick-fil-a's too!

Connor's 1st baseball game

Another great night of sleep!

One of our stops on the trip home. You may have to look closely to find the little person glaring up at one of his favorite sites--flags :)

We had a great time & were so very proud of Katie! It was, however, quite a long trip with a child! We were very ready to get home by Sunday!
