P-O-O-L!

If you are around Connor, you better spell the word p-o-o-l...because once Connor thinks he is going to swim & splash, you best be ready to do it!! Connor has been a water boy since he was born & at 21 months old, he is certainly no different. We had a great Sunday afternoon~ Matt, Connor & I ventured out on a bike ride to "Mrs. Lori's" house (AKA Matt's mom's) to go swimming. The bike ride didn't seem to be that far when we were talking about it, but my legs felt differently once we were about half way there! We spent a good few hours in the pool & Connor had a blast! Lots of toys and splashing led to a wonderful way to spend the day! Our bike ride home was a race against the rain, but we made it to our destination dry & with a sleeping little boy in tow. All in all, we had a successful, fun day! :)

Little does Connor know, he will be jumping for joy soon when our inflatable pool arrives in the mail. Not sure why it took me so long to order one, but once its here...I'm sure it will be put to good use! Stay tuned for those pictures too!

Nothing compares...

...to the bond between Connor & his Papa :)

Sweet dreams of Dora...

I could eat him up! :)

Peyton play date

Although Connor has already played with Peyton on a few occasions, this past Wednesday was my first time meeting her myself! I've been following her blog since she was born, so I already felt like I knew her. I was so excited to see how Connor & Peyton would interact. We had Peyton, her Mama, Tiffany, & Auntie Nicole over for a little evening play date. It didn't take long to notice that Peyton is ALL girl and Connor is ALL boy! Connor is more on the rough, tough, and loud side while Peyton was more on the chatty, dainty side. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get great pictures of two moving children, but I did my best to help capture the kidlets interaction with one another.

Peyton was trying hard to keep up with Mr. Connor as he trotted around inside his Dora tent.

Such a doll!

"Whatcha reading Connor?!"

"Look up & say CHEESE Connor!"

Mmm...

Don't you just wanna eat her up?!

The kids didn't really play until Connor got a hold of Peyton's ball. It quickly turned into a game of fetch!
FYI: Sharing is not Connor's strong suit quite yet.

"Ok, Peyton, here's how this works. I'm gonna throw the ball. I want you to go after it...BUT the ball is still MINE."

"Ok....GO!"

And again...

And again...

And again...

Peyton did an awesome job keeping up with Connor. Once Peyton is running, Connor has surely met his match!
An example of why little boys have so many bruises & scars...

Hungry Hippo!

Good...

'til

the

last

drop!

One fun fact about Connor....he's slowly learning how to verbalize, but can "Mmmm" to any food commercials with no problem!! I'm pretty sure he eats more than me at every meal! He's one big growing boy!

Flash back...

I was browsing through my old videos and came across some from when Connor was a wee-little-boy. It feels like FOREVER ago and its unbelievable how fast time really does fly. This particular video makes me laugh, so thought I would share. Connor's about 8 months old here...

Growing...

Who knew that this little boy...

Would quickly turn into this big boy...

Its only a matter of time before my little munchkin outgrows his crib & graduates to a big boy bed! He's already begun taking my hand and walking me to his room when he's ready for bed. My baby is growing too fast!!

Blessings in life...

I try to take time to count my blessings more often these days! I am surrounded by amazing people and wanted to take a moment to recognize one in particular. He answers to the name of Don. He has the sweetest southern accent you'll ever hear. He never misses a day of church. Him and his wife bought treats for Coopy when he was a pup. They brought over gifts for Connor shortly after I first found out I was pregnant. They mosey on by every once in a while to say hey and see how we're doing. If that doesn't sound nice enough, Don has become our personal lawn mower for the past year. I am so blessed to know him and am so fortunate to call him my neighbor. He holds a special place in my heart :)

Austin-Connor-Kaylee time!

Three little munchkins enjoying play time together! Austin, Kaylee & Connor have been spending a lot of time together lately. They've all had their share of laughs, cries, and everything in between. Enjoy some photos of the kids in action....

After Connor had to be pried out of this inflatable pool against his will after playing in it for what seemed to be hours, Mommy decided its worth purchasing for our own backyard!

**Please excuse Connor's lack-of-swimsuit...we did not pack accordingly, so got to swim in his swim skivvies**

1. Throw an object
2. Watch it splash
3. Yell "SPLASH"
4. Watch child giggle hysterically!
5. Then Repeat 1000000000000 times!

The sassiest little girlie-girl you ever did see...

Family time on the swings

Once again, we had a wonderful time with the Sears kidlets (and family too, of course). Happy 1st day of kindergarten to Austin today! :)

Papa love...

Nothing is sweeter than watching Connor with his Papa...

Papa, who once was just a pool buddy a long time ago, has since become Connor's favorite person in the whole wide world! This little boy adores his Papa more than anyone! If you walk by a picture of 100 family members, Connor can easily pick out his Papa in the crowd & point to him with his sausage-link finger! If we go to Nana & Papa's house, Connor will roam the house in search of Papa. The two of them are officially buddies for life! Watching them together melts my heart :)

Social Butterfly

Up until recently, Connor has gone from playing parallel with others to actually wanting to play with them! It doesn't seem like a huge deal, but I really enjoy watching him interact with other little kidlets. The other night we had supper and a play date at Kerri & Justin's house, where Connor had WAY too much fun playing with everyone!

Connor & Matt developed their own little wall ball game in the hallway. Connor thought it was HILARIOUS to throw the ball & watch it ricochet off the doors/walls. It was cheap entertainment at its finest!

Connor was playing peek-a-boo with Austin around the corner! Side note: Connor and Austin are 4 years apart & Connor is already wearing Austin's hand-me-downs. He's currently sporting Austin's jammies--size 4T! :)

Connor was getting his flirt on with little Miss Kaylee, but she was not interested!

"Hey Matt! Wanna come play?!"

We had a great time once again at the Sears' residence! Can't wait to do it again!
