Naughty or Nice...

I figured I would get into the holiday spirit with a "Naughty or Nice" post. Thought it would be fun to illustrate my photos this way...

Photo #1. Girls night out with my bestest

Nice: To spend some one-on-one grown up time with my wonderful best friend, Rachel. We had a wonderful dinner out, got to chat without interruptions, and (of course) had some good laughs!

Naughty: We went on a late night run to Publix for an ice cream craving. Gotta love Publix's promotions....we must of looked like poor, pathetic girls at the check-out counter on a Friday night with buy-one-get-one tubs of ice cream & buy-one-get-one bottles of wine. And no...we did not finish all the ice cream & the wine was for her husband. :)

Photo #2-5. Aidan's 2nd Birthday party!

Nice: It is always a good time with the Meyer clan and guaranteed way too much yummy food! We had a great time celebrating Aidan's 2nd birthday at the Sluder household. On a cold, blustery day, it was so nice to get out of our house and do something fun! Aidan's 1st birthday party (last year, of course), was Connor's 1st party (he was a few weeks old at the time). It's amazing how fast time flies. Now, Aidan & Connor are wearing the same clothing and shoe size! Ha!

Naughty: As every parent knows, children are SO unpredictable. In the past, I always seem to be the parent with the child that happens to be whiney/crabby in the play group. You always secretly wish there is another child there that is whiney/crabby too to help take the focus off your child! With many little boys running around at the party, there was bound to be at least one whiney/crabby moment from another. Not that my son is terrible by any means...just nice to know I'm not alone when it comes to having a whiney boy sometimes :). Seriously though...all the kids were great at the party and it was so nice to have Connor around so many other little boys relatively close to his age.
Photo #6. Christmas decor at Nana & Papa's

Nice: When the walls of my house start to close in on us, its so nice to get out and go to Nana & Papa's for a change of scenery. Nana does an amazing job of helping with Connor to lighten my load at times. We all just laugh at Connor and get a kick out of his crazy antics.

Naughty: Everyone loves Christmas time & everyone loves decorating to get into the holiday spirit. Well....my child like to put holiday decor away instead! Sorta. In the picture above, Connor is caught red handed removing one of many ornaments from the tree. You could tell Connor a hundred times to "No touch" & "The tree is for pretty" & redirect him elsewhere, but seconds later he will bee line it for the tree again! At home, he loves to walk up to the tree, reach his little finger out to touch the lights, look over at me, and just grin his smirky little grin like he knows he doing something he shouldn't be. At Nana & Papa's though, we find ourselves unplugging lights, moving decor from low-lying tables, and hanging 'unbreakable' ornaments at the bottom of the tree. :)

Photo #7-8. Christmas jammies

Nice: Its so nice to have a reason to dress your child extra cute...like for a holiday! I've had these jammies stored in Connor's closet for about 11 months, just waiting for December to roll around. The matching hat is the reason Nana bought this jammie set in the first place....since Connor needed a red cap to wear for his picture with Santa last year. And the socks are super cute too.... :) Will be putting Connor in this as much as possible before Christmas passes.

Naughty: My precious little boy in his Christmas jammies looks more like a bank robber with his tight cap on! Yes I know...he has a large head :)

The rest of the photos are just NICE :)

Nicole told me he wore his shirt to the party. It looks so cute! He looks like a miniature little man.
