ATTACK of the SHARK!

With a nose runnier than a faucet, I decided to help keep Connor's mind off of feeling cruddy by letting him run loose after bath! Considering it was about 60 degrees in the house, I didn't want him running around for too long de-clothed! He did just long enough for me to get some pictures, scare the dog with his crazy shark-towel-get up, and drool all down the front of his potbelly!

Since this morning I woke up on the wrong-side-of-the-bed....actually it was the wrong-side-of-the-sofa as that is where Connor and I got the most sleep together. On my bitter note, I would like to take a minute to clarify something.

Parenting is getting up every 45 minutes in the night to help console a sick little boy that could not breathe easily through his tiny congested nose. Parenting is changing a poopy diaper at 2am--in the dark--under two layers of jammies--with a crying, tired, squirmy little boy rolling all about. Parenting is trying to contain your body's shivers as you wrap your entire blanket around your child to help keep them from getting cold. Parenting is using your pajama sleeve as a tissue when you can't find a kleenex for your child's running nose in the dark. Parenting is cuddling up on the couch, propping your child's head upright, and letting him sleep in your arms since thats the only way he can easily breathe through all of his boogies....even if it means waking with a sore neck.

Parenting is not planning to see your child a few times a week around the convenience of your own schedule. PERIOD.

So-yes-I feel better now and a lot less "Bitter-Betty". Through all the 'rough' stuff, being a parent is the absolute biggest blessing in the entire world and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Connor is feeling a little better today---although still has boogies all over the place. If only I could teach him how to 'blow' into a tissue...it would make things that much easier!

Happy Wednesday! Hopefully some warmer days to come soon!

So sorry Megan! You are such a GREAT mommy and Connor is sooooo lucky to have YOU!!! I'm praying for good days ahead for both of you! :)
PS: When Kylie was sick a few weeks ago the doc told me to use Little Noses. It is just a saline nose spray so it doesn't have any medicine. She didn't even mind it too much and it really seemed to help clear her up...?
Hope he feels better soon!!

Being a mommy is the best! Being a Mommy is whispering "I Love You" to your son on the plane while he is screaming as loud as he can, doing arcobatics with his body, and having him slap you in the face over and over because he is so mad at your for putting him on a plane... Still wouldn't trade it for the world. We made it home.. WooHoo!! We hope Mr. Connor feels better soon!!!!
