A simple afternoon hanging out at Nana & Papa's turned into a fun adventure with a soft shell turtle.
It all started when Nana hollered to us inside to come see the turtle in the neighbor's yard. The giant turtle resembled ET with his huge neck sticking out & was so funny to watch waddle around trying to find water, yet continuously hitting a dead end. The soft hearts in all of us begged Papa to come save it & take it back to the lake across the street.
Papa came back with a trash can & towel to help catch him, while Nana brought a broom stick, water, and lettuce to help with the procedure!
Don't they look like the Scooby Doo gang?!!
This big guy (photo doesn't do his size justice) got to ride in a smelly trash can as we ventured down to the water.
And just like that, he was headed back to water. It was an exciting (& hilarious) operation!
