Rainy day

Before a dog and a child, I used to love rainy days. You can just curl up, have an excuse to do nothing, and just veg. out. When we got Cooper, you dread having to take him out in the rain. He gets all hyper inside since he can't go out and play. When you do go out, he comes in with wet paws and the unmistakable stench of a wet dog! Now that we have Connor (the ultimate outside kid), our daily routine is completely altered when its raining. Our stroller walks around the block (that kill about 20 mins. and are FABULOUS) are postponed. This morning it was raining, Cooper had to go out to go potty after a long night so I had to think fast! I grabbed Connor's bathrobe, sat him in his hooded stroller in the front entry way and took Coop out to play in the front yard on his leash. Coop got to go potty (several times), Connor got to be outside but not wet or cold, so Mom was successful! Mom, however, was rather wet by the time we came in from playing with Coop in the rain, but ehhh...it was worth it! The clouds have since parted and looks like the rest of our day will be back on track!
